Surface-Interrogation Chronoamperometry Mode SECM
A tip electrode is positioned in proximity to a substrate. The tip electrode generates a reactive species from a reversible redox mediator that diffuses to the substrate and reacts with an adsorbed species at it. This reaction causes a transient positive feedback that decays to negative feedback once the adsorbate is consumed. The user can specify different amounts of the adsorbed species that are linked to each other; also the kinetics of reaction of the mediator with each adsorbed species can be selected. The program runs SI-SECM in chronoamperometry mode. This programming is the same as in the case of CV described previously. The transient is also modeled using Butler-Volmer conditions. To implement this program in Multiphysics, choose the scan length and intervals, Solve -> Solver Parameters -> General.
