Surface-Interrogation Cyclic Voltammetry Mode SECM
A tip electrode is positioned in proximity to a substrate. The tip electrode generates a reactive species from a reversible redox mediator that diffuses to the substrate and reacts with an adsorbed species at it. This reaction causes a transient positive feedback that decays to negative feedback once the adsorbate is consumed. The user can specify different amounts of the adsorbed species that are linked to each other; also the kinetics of reaction of the mediator with each adsorbed species can be selected. The program runs the SI-SECM mode in cyclic voltammetry mode, thus different potential windows and scan rates are accessible.
